So quite a few rumours and questions have been going around SA regarding digital TV. Some people are scared their TV will become redundant, some think they’ll need to install dishes.

From what I can tell, these are the facts:

• Your TV will be just fine
• You’ll need a new antennae, but it probably won’t be a dish.
• You probably need a “top box” (much like a decoder) that will convert the digital signal to display on your TV.
