I have to admit, I was VERY excited a while back when Tata announced the development of the Tata Nano. A cheap little car – and this after I’ve honestly considered acquiring a Vespa (Moped/Scooter) to get around… a thought short lived as I can’t imagine my 6′3″, 120kg body on even their biggest offerings.
After reading this article however, there’s more to consider (positive and negative) than just the price of this little car. If it’s ever available in my country (South Africa), I’ll look at it in a different light – this little car might change the world… for better or for worse…
So quite a few rumours and questions have been going around SA regarding digital TV. Some people are scared their TV will become redundant, some think they’ll need to install dishes.
From what I can tell, these are the facts:
- Your TV will be just fine
- You’ll need a new antennae, but it probably won’t be a dish.
- You probably need a “top box” (much like a decoder) that will convert the digital signal to display on your TV.
Here are a few links to answer your questions – I’ll be adding to the as more relevant info becomes available (You’re welcome to add your own):
