According to the survey the average salary in South Africa is R 16 586.00 per month.  Woman earned on average R 13 692 per month while men took home substantially higher amounts with an average salary of R 19 912 per month.

Individuals working in the fields of Information Systems, Electronics and Telecoms Technologies earned a higher than average monthly salary of R 19 435 per month.  In this field females earned R 16 442 per month while males on average earned R 21 141 per month.
